Sinhagad fort in mansoon ... awesome one day trip

Sinhagad fort is situated 30 km in southwest of pune city . Sinhagad  means Lion's place . This fort is at approximate 800 meter above the surrounding countryside .
This fort got this name after the battel of March 1670 . This battle was fought to recapture by Shivaji .
A great warrior Tanaji  Malsure was general of Shiva ji at that time . In this fight , Tanaji lost his life but his courage and bravery win this fort .
After hearing the news of Tanaji death , Shivaji  said  "Gad aala pan Sinha gala" . And by this statement this fort got name of Sinhagad.

Sinhagad has beautiful scenic views along with great history .On the way of Sinhagad , Khadakwasla Dam which is situated at 20 km from pune city has a good place to stay and enjoy at the bank .

People can reach Sinhagad fort by  two way either by road or by doing trekking ( it take only 1 hour to reach at top..its really fun  )
Before start trekking we enjoyed  so many scenic point which you can enjoy only village location .

Government Bus services facility is also there to reach  start point of Sinhagad fort trek .
Once you reach at the top of fort , you will be able to enjoy panoramic view . It gives you tremendous feeling and enjoy .

Best part of the fort , which really i want to share is availablity  of maharastrian food . There is no need to carry food when you are visiting fort . There are so many villagers who have small huts and provide delicious maharastrian food . I  love this because of food also :-).
On sunday and public holiday , it become totally picnic spot . So many families comes here to enjoy their whole day .
